      <image:title>About us - Our story</image:title>
<image:caption>Reclaiming You Counseling was a dream that became a reality for two grad students at Salve Regina University in the Holistic Counseling Program. How could we help others connect deeper within themselves? How could we help their connections with others strengthen and grow? How could we guide them through healing deep wounds? Opening a group practice was the answer that spoke to us.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Co-Owner, Holistic Therapist A little bit about me I began my journey as a holistic mental health therapist at Salve Regina University in 2012. I was drawn to the whole-person approach—the idea that there is an inseparable connection between our minds, physical bodies, and spiritual selves, each deeply intertwined with one another. That the experiences of our past have a strong influence on the person we are today. One cannot simply address a single aspect of oneself without considering all of the pieces of the puzzle. Little did I know that my studies would be the spark to ignite my own internal healing process, which I continue to this day. I believe that it is important for me to be self-aware and to practice the same techniques I employ as a therapist in order to be my best self and fully present for you, my future client. During my time as a practicing mental health therapist, it has been my honor to walk along side clients throughout various stages of their healing journeys. I have worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults, and currently specialize in working with adults, parents, and adolescents. About my approach What does it mean to reclaim you? In a world full of distractions and expectations, how can you discover your true self? What does it look like to strip away the roles we play for others (parent, sibling, student, our job titles) and uncover who we are at our core? To learn to listen to and honor our inner voice?</image:caption>

<image:caption>Co-Owner, Holistic Therapist, Somasoul Somatic Therapist Since starting my path as a therapist, I’ve learned and discovered more about myself and how I can help others than I ever imagined I would. It all began within the Holistic Counseling program at Salve Regina University. After going through this intense journey of self awareness and healing, I received my Master’s of Holistic Counseling in 2015. Later on in 2015 I received my Reiki II certification. From 2015-2017, I completed Core Energetics Training. And I‘ve recently completed Somasoul Somatic Therapy Training. To be honest, I was drawn to these trainings and teachings for a dual purpose. One was for my own work and healing. I truly believe in walking the walk if I’m going to talk the talk. Which is to say that if I am going to provide therapy and healing to others, I need to also do that for myself. Another reason is for you, my future clients. I have this innate passion and calling to help others. And learning ways to help that speak to me and meet my values is how I feel I am able to provide the most genuine and impactful therapy. Through the years I’ve created my own integrative approach with all that I’ve learned. It stems from my roots in my learnings at Salve of the connection between the mind, body and spirit. With sprinkles of expressive arts, grounding, energy work, somatic awareness, movement, and so much more. Whether I am working with individuals, parents or families, these are foundational pieces to the therapy I provide. Being trained in trauma work has also helped me to maintain a mindful lens with my clients. Within my work as an intensive family therapist over the years I have grown to have a deeper understanding and compassion for parents and families who are finding it hard to just get through the day. Many are in need of help to communicate, connect and learning how to repair their relationships. Change can happen if given the opportunity and I’ve been honored to witness this with many families. As a parent in particular, there are many feelings that can come up as your child arrives and grows into their own person. You may likely face parts of yourself that you are not fond of and may feel shame about. What we work on together is learning about how those parts can come from the wounds of your childhood and how to become aware of that as well as what to do about it. There is so much healing that is needed within the child in all of us and I would be honored to help guide you on that journey. Have questions? Want to know more about what I offer? Feel like we might be a good fit? Let’s connect! More about my approach and specialties:</image:caption>
